Inner Spirit announces closing of seed round that exceeded expectations and the name for its intended 100 corporate and franchise retail locations across Canada.
CALGARY, AB – (May 25, 2017) – Inner Spirit Holdings Ltd. (“Inner Spirit” or the “Company”), an emerging cannabis lifestyle brand, is pleased to announce the closing of its initial seed round of equity financing that exceeded expectations, with an initial closing of over $600,000. The Company continues to review various strategic alternatives including a potential initial public offering or other transaction to take Inner Spirit public in connection with completion of its previously announced $2,000,000 raise. Seed investors have in-depth experience in a myriad of industries, including entrepreneurship, accounting, banking, retail, law, public markets, the cannabis industry, and real-estate; and the collective value will help position the Company as the top retailer and franchisor in the impending legal recreational cannabis space. The initial funds raised are expected to be used for infrastructure, franchise, brand, retail, and product development.
Simultaneously, the Company is also pleased to announce the name and logo for its envisioned chain of up to 100 retail stores. Under the guidance of the team at Flipp Marketing, the name “Spirit Leaf” was carefully selected and the logo was designed with meticulous attention to detail, playing on the Spirit Leaf initials, the texture of a leaf, and personification of a change of perspective. Trademark applications have been submitted to the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.
