- What is your background?
My background is retail real estate have been a licensed broker in 4 provinces for over a decade assisting both major landlords and national retailers with site selection and lease negotiation. This requires a pulse on the beat of retail both in Canada and globally, as well as an understanding of how to be a successful retailer having worked very closely with so many over the years.
- Where is your store located?
This beautiful store is located at #2389 Bloor Street West, Toronto in the heart of Bloor West Village at Armadale Ave., across from Jane TTC Subway Station and highly accessible from the South Kingsway exit off the QEW There is ample street and municipal parking available nearby.
- Why did you choose to open a Cannabis retail store-front?
Beyond the obvious business opportunity, as a cannabis user of many years, I am passionate about changing the stigma to demonstrate that cannabis users are productive, contributing members of society and a positive force behind a once-in-a-generation level of social change.
- What attracted you to Spiritleaf?
The past history of retail franchising success of the management team combined with the store aesthetic and brand principles of togetherness, inclusiveness, peace, love and harmony offered in a beautiful setting with a national brand and proven track record to show their ability to succeed.
- Other interesting facts about you that the public should know?
I was born and raised in the Baby Point area just a few blocks north of this location and grew up shopping in Bloor West Village, so opening this store truly feels like a coming home party to serve the vibrant neighbourhood I love so much and grew up in.
