Store Feature: Cochrane, Alberta
We know where we come from and our authenticity extends from the motivation of the people who have come before us! Just a short drive west of Calgary, you will find the town of Cochrane. This fast-growing community is known for its western heritage and small-town hospitality. Spiritleaf is thrilled to have a store, in the center of this picturesque town.
This area features amazing natural spaces and parks including the Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park and the popular Big Hill Springs Provincial Park. For animal lovers, there is a wolf-dog sanctuary, a non-profit organization that rescues and rehabilitates displaced animals. Cochranite’s have plenty of outdoor pursuits to enjoy such as curling, hiking, golf and much more.
With a reputation for its western culture, which is strong in the province of Alberta, the area features the Cochrane Ranche Historic Site for visitors to experience first hand. There is also a Labour Day Rodeo hosted by the Lions Club, an event which has been going on there for over 50 years.
