Let Kindness Ripple!
Small acts of kindness can bring joy to a difficult situation!
Right now, everyone is managing their own challenges and navigating through a global crisis that no one could have predicted. Each of us has a choice of how we will react during these times of stress and uncertainty. Jessica Janzen, a keynote speaker and author shares her philosophy about overcoming unspeakable tragedy and finding joy in life. A concept that could defiantly be applied to today’s situation, proving that it can be possible to overcome challenges.
Like ripples on water, a small act of kindness can go a long way to make a positive difference in someone’s life. Helping a community member, friend, or loved one can bring both comfort and joy. It can be as small as giving a cheerful card, to put a smile on their face. If you can do more, help an elderly neighbour with their yard work or share some veggies from your garden with a friend!
Some examples of the industry rising up to the challenge:
- BOAZ Pharmaceuticals Inc. made hand sanitizer, donating them to dispensaries and essential service workers across Canada.
- Several producers like Canopy Growth and HEXO provided personal protection gear to the healthcare sector.
- High Grade Hope, from the US, offered brand makeovers to cannabis companies who have been negatively affected by these recent events.
- Our Spiritleaf Cold Lake store showed the community kindness by donating care packages to their local food bank and to the Cold Lake Senior Citizen Lodge.
During these uncertain times, it is important to practice patience and to be kind to those around us. If you are struggling and need help please reach out to your local Health Link, counseling center, or family doctor.
Showcase the kindness!
Spiritleaf will select a few stories of these small acts and reward those ‘kind people’ with a custom prize estimated at $200 each, to thank them.
Share your stories with us on social media using the hashtag #ShowcaseKindness.
The selected individuals will be notified by direct message.
